處于振興發展關鍵期的老工業基地沈陽，近日好消息頻傳：沈陽材料科學國家研究中心獲批，部、省、市三方開始共建，這是科技部首批6個國家重大科學研究中心之一；中科院大學機器人與智能制造學院落戶沈陽；2月25日，2018年平昌冬奧會閉幕式舉行“北京8分鐘”文藝表演，沈陽新松機器人精彩出演，沈陽智造贏得冬奧“金牌”，展示中國形象……標志著沈陽朝著東北亞科技創新中心，邁出堅實一步。
